Automatic Transactions Have Arrived
We’re happy to announce that we now provide support for importing your transaction automatically from your bank or financial institution. Users now have more options for entering in their transactions. You can enter them completely manually as well as defining your Bank Accounts manually so that you never need to enter any bank information to use the site. Or you can now go completely automatic and let us import the transactions for you. We feel this gives tremendous flexibility for using the BudgetTracker site. One of the biggest problems with automatic transactions is that you’re always behind on your budget since the bank might not know about what you’ve spent for a few days especially when writing a check. We’ve also built in a way to recognize transactions already in the system that were entered manually so you don’t get duplicate transactions when an import comes in. And yes, you can combine both automatic and manual bank accounts or transactions. Please note however that this is a work in progress feature since we need feedback to help grow the validation process. All major US Banks should be supported but if you have a small town bank, please email us first to see if your bank is supported at sync@budgettracker.com
